the final summing up hath begun ... now what you would find where i can grab it to put myself to sleep reading which is a great favorite thing of mine to do, and here is the word then Aspects of The Novel, Vanity Fair, Harriet The Spy, Cotillion and the one about plays being able to put together whole troupes of players...
and the all work equally as well for me, one does find oneself then consulting the other Library which consists of The Letters of Jane Austen (a selection), Books & Characters, a box of Cornell and the sequel to Appomattox and plays of Chekov , not including the farces sadly
and those are pocket versions and should probably be protected from the steam which tends to belong to the southwest arising as it does from the precipitants smh
okay enough of this?
well outside of this there is a lot of the reading that gets done of what screenwriters are producing, some of it is just not good at all, but even that is entertaining, and lordy who am i kidding, there are people that are lapping that shit up for lunch
about Vanity Fair this time, i am starting out slowly and that for no apparent reason except that it all seems to be moving much faster than usual and our dear friend in the club who is about to give up reading the book, makes up begin somewhere besides a school, at some other phase of her career and what she has been doing would just be past praying for, so you see when he proposes marriage she is swept off her feet and when the baron himself proposes then she sees being that close, just that close to being My Lady and all it implied and she being a good natured girl made the best of her Captain and he loved her to distraction, he trusted her judgment with unswerving loyalty and admiration
and the devotion of all Emmy's friends to her and the odd long Life she lives with her parents and scrimping and saving for her son until poverty gets them better of them and her father-in-law takes her child into his household and how she is courted by all the eligible bachelors and how their bestfriend continually does a good turn after another for the schoolboy he had defended honorably and earned his classmates respect
they keep doing that, this is the whistling that she does i think more than anything, it is the way that he writes the girls into the story without ever following the lords of creation so closely, not so interesting to the Reader then, and now, it is all leading up to Waterloo
no i can't let myself get away with that, i have to actually remember exactly what bothered me and it had to do with the life that Rebecca had compared to Amelia, so much implied, so very much absolutely unknown... certainly much easier to be quite certain that Amelia is artless and that makes her pretty
it is the sentence that sits at the middle of the book, before and after the battle of Waterloo
meanwhile back at the home of the crazy republican rich aunt who lives alone in some fashionable neighborhood. i should know this... so many threads he keeps picking up and making his puppets dance, it's not just the girls, he is relentless towards them all
and i read the bit about the novel by Julian Barnes and it got me thinking of the things he started doing with Flaubert's Parrot, exposing the tourists and the perpetrators of the trade for fame, and this this passion for history that seems to have been left behind on the eastern shores of the Atlantic, if only they had left the Africans there as well, if somehow they could have paid the Americans a good solid wage to work together for The Land
there's a pipe dream
and the book of books changes ... The Prophet by Khalil Gibran is very well done. One senses a wisdom in the translation that makes one long to read it under the enlightenment of the voice.

cutting out
it's late, i'm a Liberal writer, first of all because secrets are great except when they're not, you know they're not because you can't tell anyone ever, and that is a lot of people, there's that thing you know about someone and see now here i have to stop because the secret makes me nervous, fight or flight, always flight? it's a matter of life and death,
i like those great video games where the winner is best at making his avatar run away, parkour, in real Life these kids look like video it's all so elegant always taking the shortest route away and on stairwells their option is so wild, they go half way down and then they are around the corner 500 yards ahead and the poor pursuer can lose sight of you,
in Europe this is The Law ... you have to prove you tried to get out of the altercation first,
if there were more civil options open to you although the matter of dueling was it far from his mind ?
where do they get this Sundance Kid mentality from ?
Netflix?
Little Big Man? What was his sister's name with the squint?
i digress
about secrets, the world will only ever be able to be free when we are free to say whatever we think this seems almost unimaginable to the very very quiet people who can't say what they think because there would be a food fight but what if their mothers had raised them better?
it's just like the mixed up files of Mrs. Basil T. Frankweiler
it's never too late to stop biting your tongue
i should never say anything about getting on a schedule it is pure bullshit and everyone knows it who knows me and im not fooling anyone so there's that
what we want here is confessions
people like those
the book of books always has a secret
this can be contained in the reader who was let in on it
or to the characters who have history we don't know
books tells us so much about each new person we meet because they have a voice
and this is the thing about confessions, there is always a secret
they say that catholics do better in therapy because the idea of confession being good for the soul is natural to them

it seems wrong to say
it's not my secret to tell
in real Life these kids look like video it's all so elegant always taking the shortest route away and on stairwells their option is so wild, they go half way down and then they are around the corner 500 yards ahead and the poor pursuer has lost sight of you, you jumped through the window on the right up over the garbage cans
i digress

are the british so different from the french though really? are they more like the irish, or are the scots just like the irish, or maybe the danes, the dutch are to the germans like the british are to the french, you know i think the british have as good of a taste in clothes as the french do, don't you?
so many nations...
i want to know what happened to the 50 nations that are missing
last time i checked there were 240
i know this because my dad was memorizing all their capital cities
he was weird
now there are only 190
so i repeat,
what happened to 50 nations?
somebody please explain this to U.S.

the last shall be first
tweet
twittering is the most important thing in the world, good thing it's the funnest ever thing too, the thing is i am not always a poet, and sometimes i am a bad poet, and being uninspired makes one breathe and the spirit moves us it does, and we are moved to say, we hear ourselves thinks of that which cannot be said aloud, surely, no not that one, hm what about, no no no oh oh oh one can hardly imagine that ive been completely obsessed by it my whole life and tis all the fault of that boy, Jerome, JD, him who had the nerve to say that he couldn't like bad poetry in the abstract much less equate it with good poetry and sent me off then to this
and for what? to discover at the end of the day, there is no drama in poetry
the prosaic are simply those who are good at something other than literature, they have a message, a medium, proxy connections to promote and advertise and this is so problematic on so many scores because it works but it's so unkind really and has nothing to do with how we feel begging the question what is your guiding light ahhahaha not funny
a little funny
and so the poetry is not great but you're still a poet
except when you're not
well it would appear that for starts it will be necessary to tweet when one is twittering and so i have to resurrect punctuation ... alas ... this is the most difficult part i think although i can keep my contrary spelling and they can global search and replace them all mooey pronto as that is part of it and sigh they probably will and then some future Lytton will come out of the woodwork and save me for the future, one can only hope, there is many a work that's gone down burning
all this burning
oh doof, okay i will start to use punctuation on the verhy next post and maybe a spell checker too and you can see how bad i am at this and how much better it will be when there are some breaks for you to breathe, and i am heading straight to oxygen deprivation here which to me seems to be an important shortfall and one which we would behoove
and you KNOW what THAT means
with the subject ever in front of me
as i have so often been found
and that level of concentration
and the willingness to admit it too
and how strange it is how independent her mother thought she was
when she is so social
and how she knew that grandpa loved her
and how uncle edward cried a lot
just fell apart
and that was just today
and you ask why i read The Talisman Ring?
well i'll tell you
I lied!
I lied!
i suppose you would like to have a view of me here at my lap top and oldish girl with white hairs who loves a bath a lot, and who has a cat right by her and one roaming around the house as may be and she sneezes a lot and uses toilet paper , so, and she has this passion for philosophy which doesn't ever stop churning out the hope
hope being that feeling that this feeling isn't going to last
and i learned a word today Weltschmerz which is the feeling that it is going to last
we will always be outrageous
we like to be
so there's that
this is a huge problem for the sensitive
which includes all of us
and so you see we have conflicts
and some would say it's inside
but then there are a lot of glitches
a lot of glitches
some of very pushy and sure they're right
and yet if these are the very ones who get their way then they're judgment seems to be off
and how do we measure this feeble social impulse
apparently, according to The Daily Show report, Russians think the worse thing you can be is a pussy. And so there is a lot of mutual respect. Just at a time when it seems as if they have made a bad move their people are standing together, aristocrat and autocrat, plutocrat and democrat, something has grown out of The Bolsheveks and it is something other than us ... but maybe it's not true, maybe in Russia some of the most powerful and influential people would be horrified by the very use of the word Pussy? is that maybe how pussy riot ended up in jail there even
this is interesting
because there is a truth
and it depends on which Russian you talk to
haha
depends
this word is out of favor now it is identical with the dependable nature of adult diapers
diapers
the complete circle of continence
and why the word continence
it sounds so continental
and why does Arabia not have a strong place on the maps
why is her relativity to water making her invisible
google for continents and see she is considered asia?
India barely seems Asian to me. Indians seem like their own people all independent. Maybe they were already there so they floated across the indian ocean and crashed into china in some life form
i don't know
i have to g for it
it is interesting to me
but going off track
it's really quite wrong, the antisemetism,
Arabs are Semites. Jews are Semites.
The hatred between them is a family feud.
eurocentric is confusing
like me for instance
google for continents and you'll see what i mean
